Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge is a beautiful city located in Fannin County and is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city is home to around 1,290 people and is the county seat of Fannin.  The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is one of the loveliest experiences someone can have in north Georgia. The train ride, which is operated out of the more than 100-year-old depot, travels for four hours and covers 26 miles. With a two-hour layover in McCaysville, Georgia, and Copperhill, Tennesee (a town split into two by the GA/TN state line), there will be plenty of opportunities to eat, shop and visit.  Other Hot Spots to include on your visit would be whitewater rafting, hike the Appalachian Trail, fishing in the trout fishing capital of Georgia, and enjoying some wonderful winding motorcycle roads.  Clear the weekend and come on up to visit!
